Your reminders stay on your device.
SpeakingBell stores all your alarms and reminder text locally on your iPhone. We do not collect, transmit, or store your reminders on any server, and we have no access to what you write.- No account required — you don't sign up, and we don't ask for personal information.
- No tracking — SpeakingBell does not use analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers.
- On-device speech — reminder text is converted to speech using Apple's built-in speech engine on your device.
- Notifications — alarms use Apple's local notification system. Reminder text appears in your notifications and is spoken aloud, so anyone near your unlocked or locked device may see or hear it.- Because reminders are stored only on your device, they are protected by your device's own security (passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and iOS data protection). We recommend enabling a device passcode.
- Reminder text is spoken out loud and shown on your lock screen. Avoid storing sensitive information (passwords, PINs, account numbers, private medical details) in reminder text, as it may be overheard or seen by others.
- If you delete the app, all locally stored reminders are removed.Disclaimers

SpeakingBell is a convenience reminder tool. Do not rely on it as your only method for time-critical, safety-critical, or medical reminders (such as medication, medical treatments, or emergencies).- Delivery is not guaranteed.
Reminders depend on iOS. System behavior, notification permissions, Focus / Do Not Disturb, Low Power Mode, Silent mode, device restarts, storage limits, or the operating system may delay, silence, or prevent an alarm from firing.
- iOS notification limit. iOS allows a maximum of 64 scheduled notifications per app. Very frequent repeats over a long time range may be capped and not fire for every interval.
- Sound and speech depend on device settings. Volume, Silent mode, connected audio devices, and installed voices affect whether and how a reminder is heard.
- No warranty. SpeakingBell is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any missed reminder or for any loss or damage resulting from use of the app.
- Use at your own discretion. For anything essential, always use a redundant or dedicated alerting method.
